Charging Ahead into the Future with Cycle & Carriage

As the effects of climate change become more evident, it is clear that the time to mitigate its harmful impacts is now. One of the key initiatives is through electrification from renewable sources, of which the automotive industry is taking leaps forward by moving away from fossil-fuel burning internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric vehicles (EV).

As a showcase into the future to electrification, Cycle & Carriage Malaysia is bringing an experience themed “Electrifying The Future” at its lifestyle concept store, neu by Cycle & Carriage, located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre this August. In line with the brand’s ESG strategy to reduce carbon footprint, they now aim to create exceptional and sustainable journeys for customers. Currently, one of Cycle & Carriage’s steps towards electrification and sustainability include installing solar PV systems in six of its locations, namely Petaling Jaya, Mutiara Damansara, Batu Caves, Ipoh, Johor Bahru and Bukit Tengah. This offers a total capacity of 631kWp which replaces an average of 20% of their buildings’ consumption.

In the month of August, the lifestyle concept store will be featuring Cycle & Carriage’s green energy partners to offer the public the opportunity to truly experience what it means to live sustainably for the benefit of future generations. Some of these strategic partners who will showcase and educate about renewable energy include Dawn Breeze, a green energy solutions provider specializing in solar renewable energy, and Energreen-Tech who specialises in energy management services, EV charging solutions, second life EV batteries and GreenTech Lab Services.

To further augment the theme of electrification, fans of Mercedes-Benz and the shoppers alike can walk into the store to get up-close and personal with the latest vehicles on display. These include a wide range of Mercedes-EQ vehicles who will make their appearance throughout the month, namely the EQA 250 AMG Line, the newly launched EQS 450+, soon to be launched EQB 350 4MATIC and EQC 400 4MATIC.

For their valued customers, Cycle & Carriage also organised a Mercedes-Benz Discovery programme on 6 August, where 60 customers attended a workshop to get to know their cars better and familiarise with the brand’s after-sales service offerings. The workshop was conducted by product experts from both Cycle & Carriage and Mercedes-Benz Malaysia for customers to gain a deeper understanding about their vehicles while getting a true brand experience in an intimate setting.

The neu by Cycle & Carriage concept store will run from now until 31 October 2022 for Malaysians to embark on an exceptional journey and discover Cycle & Carriage’s commitments to delivering service excellence through different lifestyle touchpoints, both physical and digital. The coming months will include a line-up of exhibitions and workshops in the theme of “high-street fashion” in September and “outdoor adventure” in October.

The neu concept store is open to all from 10am to 10pm daily and is located at Lot G316, Level G, 1 Utama Shopping Centre (New Wing).
